Inspired by shencomix, I made my own chessset. It’s also part of a chess engine and I’m trying to make it an arcade style chess game. I really like how the Rooks turned out.

There’s been a long term trend to make chess faster, so I was thinking what if it was like Unreal Tournament and their was an announcer that said “CHECK!”, “DOUBLE-CHECK!!”. And what if it was like a fighting game and you could see the engine analysis real-time while playing? Anyway it’s not ready to use but it has been fun to mess around with how to do all of that using Rust, Bevy, and Aseprite.
