When I am in the weight room, I often have a hard time doing math in my head. Especially hard to figure out is which plates I need to put on the bar to achieve the amount of weight that I'm supposed to lift. After seeing how easy it was to make a Strength Workout Calculator, I decided that I should make one for how to rack weights. The Barbell Racking Calculator is quite simple to use, you just enter how much you want to lift and how much the bar weights. It uses a greedy algorithm to pick the weight plates you need. It doesn't handle the case of somebody else using those weights, but at least it does most of the heavy lifting :).
